_______________________
Alicia holds master's degrees in both Art Therapy and Clinical Counseling from Edinboro University. In her counseling work, she specializes in grief from an existential, humanistic, and spiritual perspective. She has previous experience working in hospice with both patients and families. She has further experience as a court ordered family therapist and primary counselor working with adolescents in a partial inpatient setting.

Alicia presented her work, Growing with Grief, at the American Art Therapy Association's 2022 national conference. Growing with Grief was retitled Artful Grieving and will be published soon by Jessica Kingsley Publishers. Her news section and social media will be updated with future publication details.

Alicia is also a patient advocate drawing on her 20 years of living with two chronic autoimmune diseases, Systemic Lupus and Neuromyelitis Optica, to help doctors and caregivers better understand the mental health issues of chronic illness. It is her own struggle with chronic pain and possible death that led her to discover the healing power of art and its ability to not only improve mental health, but temporarily alleviate chronic pain as well. Alicia shares her experience with her illnesses and their impact on her life to raise awareness for a patient's need to grieve.

Alicia currently resides in the Atlanta metro area.
